Celebrating Thanksgiving in Elmhurst and the surrounding areas is about more than turkey, football, and family. The annual Dan Gibbons Turkey Trot gives Elmhurst residents and visitors the opportunity to help DuPage County's hungry families. For the past 42 years, this 5K (3.1 mile) fun-run has raised funds for many local charities including the Elmhurst-Yorkfield Food Pantry, Catholic Charities, and DuPage Pads.
Whether you want to run, volunteer, donate, or support the runners, making the Dan Gibbons Turkey Trot a part of your Thanksgiving Tradition is a great way to show your gratitude while helping others.
