Elmhurst's dining options recently expanded with three new restaurants: Beer on the Wall, krafted BURGER BAR + TAP, and Maharaj: The Indian Grill.

Beer on the Wall

105 N York St Elmhurst

With locations in Arlington Heights and Park Ridge, Beer on the Wall opened its Elmhurst location in February of 2023. Their Elmhurst location features 20 tap lines, a cask engine, games, and 500+ rotating bottles and cans of beer. Whether sitting down for a cup of coffee or tea, gathering with friends to sample some new beers, or stopping in to grab a six-pack, visitors to Beer on the Wall can expect friendly service, knowledgeable staff, and a fun and social atmosphere.

This combination retail store/beer cafe also serves coffee, wine, and spirits. Their website offers information about scheduling private tastings and online ordering (with pick up or local delivery for some items) for retail items, including beer, wine, spirits, and coffee.

krafted BURGER BAR + TAP

111 East 1st Street

Featuring burgers and sandwiches inspired by the chef's visits to places all around the globe, krafted invites diners to relax and unwind as they enjoy their meals and seasonal craft beers or another of the 50 beers they have on tap. Along with burgers, sandwiches, and pizzas with intriguing names like Mushroom Heaven, Southside Smokehouse, Three Little Pigs, Buffalo Soldier, and Al Capone, the krafted menu also includes salads, shareables and sides, hand-made cocktails, and items just for kids.

In addition to krafted, award-winning krafted creator Chef Kabakoff also founded Run for Your Knives, a 5K race benefiting student scholarships and, with “Panini Pete Blohme,” The PR Foundation, which supports military veterans, people with special needs, and no-kill animal shelters.

Maharaj: The Indian Grill

117 N Addison Ave, Elmhurst

Featuring authentic Indian fare, visitors to this warm and welcoming new dining establishment enjoy delicious meals and excellent service. Their website offers online reservations, online ordering, and information about catering for parties of 20 or more.

The expansive menu includes their chef's recommendations of the Maharaj Mix Grill—tandoori chicken, seekh kebab, malai kebab, dal and butter chicken, and sweet gulab juman—and the Maharaj Dinner Special—tandoori chicken, seekh kebab, fish tikka, chicken tikka, rogan josh, dal makhani, and sweet gulab juman. Other favorites, including curries, naan, and masala, are also available.

Along with Elmhurst's vibrant dining scene, these three new restaurants help make Elmhurst even more inviting to home buyers and others considering moving to Elmhurst.
